Sam Trapani Launches Campaign
for the 132nd District Assembly Seat

Local Employer Announces Pro-Jobs, Pro-Reform, Anti-Tax Agenda

Rochester, NY - Republican Sam Trapani announced his candidacy for the New York State Assembly’s 132nd District, encompassing Brighton, Irondequoit and portions of the City of Rochester. Trapani, a former Kodak employee who has gone on to create a number of successful businesses located in Rochester, will focus his campaign on job creation, reducing government spending and taxes, and reforming State government.

“I’ve worked for more than 20 years in our community creating jobs and I too have struggled against the taxes and mandated spending which makes it harder every year to do business and raise a family in New York,” said Trapani.  “That experience will be the difference in this campaign. I’m the only candidate who has personal experience of what taxpayers and employers are facing, and can honestly say that I’m willing to go to Albany to cut taxes and create a ‘job friendly’ environment.”

Over 300 people have been employed through businesses owned or operated by Trapani since he left Kodak in 1982. He is currently the co-owner of Springwaters, Inc., a private-label bottled water supplier, and owner of Rowe Engineering, an electronics design firm. Trapani is a graduate of Edison High School, Monroe Community College and Cornell University.

“The campaign ahead should be about electing an Assemblyman who understands what it takes to create jobs and protect the financial wellbeing of our families,” said Trapani. “I have the desire and vision necessary to reform state government and reduce taxes so we can stimulate our local economy and create jobs. I’m confident that the voters of Brighton, Irondequoit and our City will respond to my message and we’ll be successful on Election Day.”

Trapani is also seeking the endorsement of the Conservative and Independence Parties. “I look forward to meeting with both Chairman Cook and Chairman Colon, and earning their support for my pro-jobs, pro-reform, anti-tax agenda,” said Trapani.

Sam, and his wife, Elisa, have been married for 17 years and have two children.
